Lesson 6

Now it's time to practice what you already know.

1. Put the verbs into the Simple Past Tense:

  1. Last year I (go)  to England on holiday.
  2. It (be)  fantastic.
  3. I (visit)  lots of interesting places. I (be)  with two friends of mine.
  4. In the mornings we (walk)  in the streets of London.
  5. In the evenings we (go)  to pubs.
  6. The weather (be)  strangely fine.
  7. It (not / rain)  a lot.
  8. But we (see)  some beautiful rainbows.
  9. Where (spend / you)  your last holiday?
After that, you should send to teachers' e-mail the answers in a Word document, and these will be scored within the following parameters:

9 - 8: 5.0
7 - 6: 4.0
4 - 5: 3.0
1 - 3: 2.0

2. Then, you are going to see the following video paying attention to the sentences in Simple Past Tense. When this have finished, you are going to write in a Word document 10 of these sentences, looking for new vocabulary that you don't understand.


3. Now, go to Grammar Exercises - Simple Past Tense, here you are going to find different practical exercises about this topic.

4. Finally, you are going to write an anecdote that has occurred when you were a child, which have marked your life, using of course the topic seen in the last session (Simple Past Tense).

At the end of the session should have an e-mail of each one of you with a Word document which should have:
1. Answers of the firt activity,
2. 10 sentences in Simple Past Tense of the video,
3. Some screenshots of the exercises done in the link, to see the final grade of these, and 
4. The anecdote.
